Week1 Recap

There are a few story lines developing right from the outset of the 2010 DFL season.

The top story of course, is the Perth Panthers as they come out the gate with an expected victory, but the Mississauga KG Unit almost had something to say about that, as they almost provided the season's first big upset by losing by a slim margin of 23 to 22.

However, over in the East the upstart Philadelphia Rolling Thunder shocked the Applecreek team 14 to 7. With a strong running game and some aggressive running the Thunder literally ran away from their Applecreek rivals We will see if the Thunder are for real or if they just caught Applecreek by surprise?

After a slow start and some questionable plays Kanisa was able to overcome a much improved Scarborough General football team 19 to 5. The score was not a reflection on how hard Scarborough General's played.

That all being said, anyone who's been around this league knows these opening games is a small step towards engraving a team's name on the championship trophy. There's a whole lot of football left to play before anyone can do just that.
