2nd Round Playoffs

Toronto East Titans vs. Apple Creek
This was a close one...closer then anyone had expected. The Titans team we saw in the TKO game was no where to be found, because when they stepped on the field against a tough Apple Creek team, the showed up to challenge them. Exciting plays were found on both sides of the ball as the score never got out of hand for any team. It was a tight game right down to the final few minutes. This was the Titans team I expected to see during the regular season; unfortunately they fell short as Apple Creek had something to prove in the next round against the number one seed, Mississauga KG Unit. They stamped their ticket to round 3 of the 2010 DFL Playoffs with a win(28-26).

1st Round Playoffs

Scarborough Generals vs. Apple Creek
Unfortunately this was an anti-climatic matchup, largely in part to the NO-SHOW of the Scarborough Generals. Apple Creek was disappointed and disrespected to drive all the way from Scarborough/Ajax/Pickering to Mississauga to be greeted by an empty football field. The Generals forfeited not just their game but also their opportunity at redemption and their 2010 fee bond. The Generals must do better next year!!!Apple Creek, Winner by default.

Toronto East Titans vs. TKO - The Kanisa Omega's
With TKO coming into this playoff game missing some star players to undisclosed matters and a few other roster players to prior engagements; this was going to be a tough one for the defending Eastern Conference Champs. With a carrousel of QB's trying to step in, TKO wasn't able to get an offensive rhythm going against the Titans. Toronto East flew out of the blocks marching down the field for a quick start, sputtered in the middle and eventually found their groove again to secure a lack luster victory. Toronto East Titans, Winner (19-5)

Week 7

Apple Creek’s slow start and early struggles have been shrugged off as their dominance continues!!! Winners of their last three games beating The Kanisa Omegas (37-14), they are bound to be a tough playoff team to beat. Though they finish the season with a .500 record make no mistake they are one of the teams to beat. The Kanisa Omegas also is a .500 team no one saw a defeat like this coming. Especially with so much talent on board. This season was a step-back for Kanisa as they had championship aspirations...

A young and aggressive Philadelphia team solidifies their regular season dominance with a 4 and 2 record as the Thunder squeeze out a win over the Perth Panthers (28-26). Can they carry this momentum into the playoffs??? What will the Panthers do??? How will the team manage??? And how will they respond to losing thier last two games of the season after dominating the fbeginnig part of the season?? Losers of their last 2 games Perth needs to rebound....They’re young, they’re fast, abd they’re aggressive, but they’ve somehow lost their swagger. Can Perth Thunder get back to their old ways of winning in the playoffs???

This season was a step-back for the Titans but maybe in the playoffs they will live up to their name the "Titans". Spanking the Generals (29-10) the titans are back on the winning side of the ledger are they ready to race through the playoffs??? Only time will tell....the Scarborough Generals, Football aside, sticking together through adversity is the touchpoint for the Generals as the season whines down this team realizes these dividends and can apply this to everyday life beyond the football field.
